Started small, stayed focused
Thong Clockworks opened in 2012 in a modest shopfront on Beach Road, Pattaya. The idea was simple: give watches the kind of attention they rarely receive at larger service centres — unhurried, careful, and honest about what each piece actually needs.
Over the years, the work has settled into three clear services: strap changes and cleaning, crystal and bezel repairs, and full service and restoration. Each one is described on the wall exactly as it is, with the price listed beside it. Nothing is added without a conversation first.
Most of the customers who come in the first time come back. Some bring watches that belonged to their parents or grandparents. That kind of trust isn't something we take lightly.

Making repair feel approachable
Watch repair has a reputation for being opaque — vague timelines, unclear pricing, and explanations that don't quite land. We've tried to build something different: a place where you can walk in, ask questions, and leave feeling informed rather than confused.
We describe the condition of each watch before any work begins and confirm your decision before proceeding.
Turnaround is given as a realistic range, not an optimistic estimate that shifts later.

How We Work
Standards we follow
A few principles that shape the way work is done here.
Condition check before work
Every watch is assessed and described before repair begins. The customer is informed of the findings and confirms before anything is done.
Careful handling
Watches are handled individually, not batched. Each piece is stored securely while at the shop and returned in the same condition it was brought in — or better.
Appropriate tools for the job
We use watchmaker's tools suited to the job — not shortcuts. Crystal fitting, case opening, and timing checks are done with the right equipment.
Timing checks on all service work
After a full service, timing is checked and noted. The condition report shared with the customer includes the rate and what to expect in day-to-day wear.
Customer data kept private
Contact details and repair records are kept only as long as needed. We don't share or sell customer information to any third party.
Plain communication
Technical terms are explained in plain language. You leave knowing what was done, why, and what to keep in mind going forward.
